Thomas Quarterman (1765-1788)

One more thing. Does anyone have a cause of death for Thomas Quarterman, Renchie Norman's first husband? He died young--just a year after he married Renchie, and 3 months after their only child, Thomas, was born. I've suspected there was a story there, and a sad one, at that.

Probably malaria?

Since Thomas Q. III lost his dad in infancy, I'd assume he was raised by Renchie and Rev. Gildersleeve. Meaning the Puritan tradition of passing the religious flame from generation to generation remained unbroken.
