We (the Quarterman Family History Project) have been corresponding with Alec Quarterman, who is conducting a Quarterma(i)n(e) One Name Study. Thus far we have not found any connections, but he says he has come across thirty different families originating in England, many of whom have moved out to Australia, New Zealand, and America. So if your family doesn't fit with our Georgia Quartermans, it may fit with one of the Quarterman families he knows about, and we're happy to provide this bit of free advertising for him.
