Re: China (was Re: Methodists and Presbyterians)

Seems strange to believe that Joseph Stevens Baker became a  Baptist minister after starting to school to become a  Presbyterian Minister.  So the story goes that while doing a research paper, he became interested in the fact "Was John the Baptist, baptised". Also his wife was the grandaughter of Archibald McRobert, so this probably had a lot to do with his decision to become a Baptist Minister.  From that period on through four generations, the most of the family became Baptist.  From the love of a teacher, and her father who was an Evangelist, had retired and became Minister of the Presbyterian Church.  After several years of going there to church, this too is what I became.
