Re: Quarterman Family from Kingston, Surrey, England

HI
I am descended from William Quarterman of Oxfordshire, England (exactly
where that is in relation to you I have no idea). All anyone in the family
knows about him is that he was born on April 29, 1850 and came to America in
1870 settling in Wisconsin. I don't know if this is any connection to your
George Henry Quarterman or not, but he was probably about the same age. He
married Eliza Ann Dumbleton born in Milton Oxfordshire, England in 1855
(emigrated 1860) in 1884 in Bloomington, Wisconsin. They had 6 children:
Lester (Prescott, WI), Lela (Mrs. Henry Selleck - Marquette IA), Walter
(Galesburg, IL.), Claude (Galesburg, IL - twin brother Clyde died in
childhood) and Floyd Leslie (Bagley, WI - near Prairie du-Chien - my
grandfather, died April 1971).

If anyone out there is able to make any connections I would like to hear
from you. Linda Quarterman Yeadon, from Wisconsin

unfortunately they do not know very much about the Quartermain family!
