That is a concrete watering trough 2 feet by 6 or so with two spigots on a pipe that is an artesian well. It was there the first time I went to Midway. Remember it being in the middle of the road.

It went away when the road was widened, and the church was moved. The road was asphault then, 1952-1955 (think road widening was 1955).

I'd guess twenties for the picture. Who do we know that might be able to tell us when the road was paved, that would be a late bound.
