Thanks for the compliments. As I'm sure you're aware, the Midway community
was very interrelated, and straightening out who was who is even more difficult
for a name such as Baker than it is for Quarterman.

There were many William Bakers. In our database we have 14 of them
before we get to ones with a middle name, of which we have another 14.

We do not seem to have a Joseph McRobert Baker or a Joseph Paschal Baker,
so we'd be happy to receive information about your line including them.

We have two named Joseph Stevens Baker, but one died less than a month
old, and so can't be yours.

His younger brother of the same name was:
 Joseph Stevens Baker (1798-1877) m. Sarah R.

 father William Baker (1749-1798)
 mother Ann Stevens

We don't know who that William Baker's father was;
could he have been your Elder William Baker?

We don't know how that family connects with the rest of the Midway group,
although with names like Baker and Stevens it probably does. Can you
supply the connections?

All these William Bakers are apparently different people than my
ancestor Deacon William Baker (-1767) m. Sarah Osgood (-1763)
or their son Major Deacon William Baker (c1738-1781).
They were Deacons in Midway Church.
