   February 5

   1699:  Dolphin  wrecked, The Dolphin, with Robert Pinkerton aboard, is
   driven into Carthagena, strikes a rock and is taken by the Spanish.

   1736:  Wesleys  in  America,  John  and Charles Wesley reach Savannah,
   Georgia from England, invited by Gov. James Oglethorpe as missionaries
   to the Indians.
