Did the yellow pages used to have home telephone numbers in because they only seem to have business numbers in now?

I will ask her whether she knew anyone with the same name & age. When I was at school in Oxford there was another Quarterman family at the same school who were no relation to us as far as we knew, so you see unfortunately there are many Quartermans in Oxfordshire. But if you find the yellow pages at least thet will give you a definitive list of all quartermans in Oxfordshire who had a (non-ex directory) telephone in 1974. I could help you further by eliminating all entries which relate to my immediate family.
